In the trends of Bihar Assembly elections 2025, NDA has gone far ahead of the majority mark. All exit polls had clearly indicated that NDA has got bumper support from women, OBC and EBC categories. Trends are also confirming this.

According to Election Commission data, the total voting in both the phases in Bihar was 66.91 percent. In both the phases of voting, women voted more than men. According to the data, the voting percentage of women was 71.6 percent.

Whereas the voting percentage of men remained only 62.8 percent. It is clear from these figures that women voted about 10 percent more than men. The trends indicate 190 seats for NDA, 49 for Grand Alliance and 4 for others. If these trends translate into results then NDA will create history in Bihar.

Jeevika Didi scheme changed the political environment

Before the Bihar Assembly elections, Nitish Kumar’s government had given Rs 10,000 each to 1.30 crore women under the Jeevika Didi scheme in the state. Prime Minister Narendra Modi had started this scheme of Nitish government on 26 September by giving ten thousand rupees to women. On October 3, 25 lakh new women were given Rs 10,000 each.

Liquor ban decision made Nitish ‘darling’ of women

Chief Minister Nitish Kumar decided to implement liquor ban in Bihar. Because of this, Nitish Kumar gained a lot of popularity among women.

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar started the Mukhyamantri Balika Cycle Yojana in 2006. Under this scheme, girls are given bicycles and school uniforms. This scheme greatly strengthened those daughters of Bihar, who used to leave studies due to the school being far away.
