JDU Party Result: JDU became the third party in the last elections; What will happen today?
Just as the opposition does not trust the exit polls and is claiming victory in the results, similarly Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s party – Janata Dal United is hoping to make a comeback in this election. To recover from the shock of 2020. Janata Dal United had landed at third place in Bihar Assembly elections 2020. Only 43 seats were found. Later, JDU took its tally to 45 by including lone MLAs from Bahujan Samaj Party and Lok Janshakti Party. After the NDA government was formed with the mandate in November 2020, when the Grand Alliance government came in between in February 2024, JDU also suffered losses. The then JDU MLA Bima Bharti joined RJD. Then the number of JDU MLAs was reduced to 44. Independent Shankar Singh won from Rupauli seat of Bima, not the new candidate of JDU. Then, in the by-election 2024, JDU brought its number back to 45 by snatching the Belaganj seat from RJD. Now it remains to be seen whether JDU comes in a better position as expected in the results of Bihar elections 2025 or not.

RJD Party Seats: RJD had won maximum 75 seats, what will happen this time?
After Belaganj and Ramgarh MLAs became MPs in the Lok Sabha elections, if by-elections were held in 2024, RJD could not save these seats. Its number of MLAs came down to 77. This figure remained on paper till the notification of elections, because at the time of floor test of the NDA government in Bihar Assembly, the recognition of those who left the party on 12 February 2024 and thereafter was not cancelled. At the time of floor test, four RJD MLAs Chetan Anand, Prahlad Yadav and Neelam Devi had joined JDU and Sangeeta Kumar had joined BJP. Then on the last day of the budget session 2024-25, RJD MLA from Bhabhua Bharat Bind formally joined BJP. Apart from this, Lalu Prasad Yadav expelled his elder son Tej Pratap Yadav along with his family from the party, so RJD has not filed an application to cancel his recognition. That is, before the results of Bihar elections 2025, the total strength of MLAs of Lalu’s party would have remained 77-6=71. But, this strength further diminished when two MLAs Vibha Devi and Prakash Veer attended PM Modi’s stage during the election rally. That is, with 77 candidates on paper and only 69 candidates in reality at the time of elections, RJD prepared for Bihar elections 2025 with new enthusiasm.

BJP Seats: Mathematics will change, BJP won 74 seats, before the elections it was at 80.
The mathematics will change as soon as the results of Bihar Assembly Elections 2025 are declared. BJP had won 74 seats in Bihar elections 2020. When by-elections were held in Kudhni, BJP won this seat from RJD. Apart from this, BJP had taken all the three winning MLAs of Mukesh Sahni’s Vikassheel Insaan Party with it. With this the number of BJP MLAs increased to 78. Then last year when Lok Sabha elections were held, RJD’s Ramgarh MLA and CPI-ML’s Tarari MLA became MPs and by-elections were held. The results of both were in BJP’s account. That is, before the results of Bihar Elections 2025, BJP had the strength of 80 MLAs.
