Trump blames Democratic Party for the shutdown

Trump said that ‘the shutdown imposed by the Democrats has caused huge damage. Due to this, 20 thousand flights were either canceled or delayed. More than 10 lakh government employees did not receive salaries and lakhs of needy people remained deprived of food distributed by the government. Thousands of federal contractors and small businessmen could not get money due to the shutdown.

When Trump was asked about the damage caused by the shutdown, he said that it would take weeks and may even take months to calculate the damage caused by the shutdown. The shutdown has caused enormous harm to our economy and our people. Trump has signed the bill to end the shutdown, but it could still take weeks for the government to be fully operational. It will also take a few days for flights to be fully operational at various airports.

This agreement was reached to end the shutdown

Under the agreement reached between the Republican Party and the Democratic Party to end the shutdown, work will be possible without any interruption till January 31, 2026. Three annual spending bills are funded under the agreement to end the shutdown. Republicans have promised to hold a vote by mid-December on increasing health care subsidies, but have given no guarantee of success. Under this bill, the Trump administration has rolled back the decision to fire federal employees since the shutdown began. The agreement also protects federal workers from further layoffs through January and guarantees they will be paid after the shutdown ends.
