According to a news in Times of India, BCCI is considering changes in the coaching staff. BCCI can make Sitanshu Kotak the batting coach of senior team India. Gautam Gambhir is currently the head coach. After his joining, Team India had to face heavy defeats in Tests against New Zealand and Australia. After this, captain Rohit Sharma and Gambhir had to face criticism. BCCI had recently held a review meeting. Many important issues were discussed in it.
How has Kotak’s coaching career been so far?
Sitanshu Kotak’s cricket career has been good. After retirement he became a full time coach. Sitanshu has been the coach of Saurashtra. After this he came to the National Cricket Academy. Here he played the role of batting coach. Seeing Sitanshu’s hard work, BCCI made him the head coach of India A. He has been with India A for the last four years. Sitanshu had toured Bangladesh, South Africa and Australia after becoming the head coach. He has also been the assistant coach of IPL team Gujarat Lions in 2017.
