Pakistan’s Defense Minister Khawaja Asif has said that action can be taken against terrorist bases present in Afghanistan. Khawaja made this statement after the attacks in Islamabad and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Tuesday.

12 people killed in Islamabad bomb blast

12 people died and 36 were injured in the suicide attack in Islamabad.

Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and Defense Minister Khawaja Asif have made different claims regarding the suicide bombing.

PM Shahbaz has held India responsible for this attack. While Defense Minister Khawaja Asif accused the Afghan government of the attack.

Khwaja said – 3000 terrorists entered Pakistan in one year

Khawaja Asif claimed that terrorists are being infiltrated into Pakistan from the soil of Afghanistan.

According to him, 2500 to 3000 terrorists were sent to Pakistan in the last one year. Now these people are present in different areas. 55% of the terrorists who died were Afghans.

He also said that Pakistan cannot rely on assurances because even its own people do not trust the Afghan government.

A day earlier the army had foiled a conspiracy to attack the college.

A day before the Islamabad blast, the Pakistani Army had foiled a terrorist attack plot on an army college in Wana city of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

According to agency AP, 6 Pakistani Taliban fighters had come to attack this college. The Wana area has long been considered a stronghold of the Pakistani Taliban, al-Qaeda and other extremist organizations.

Two terrorists were killed in army action, while three terrorists were surrounded in a building after entering the college campus. According to police officer Alamgir Mehsud, all the cadets, instructors and staff are safe.

However, about 16 civilians and some soldiers were injured in this attack and many houses built near the college were also damaged.
