Earlier, the government was not able to make any announcement due to the implementation of the code of conduct due to Tarn Taran by-election. Now on the day of voting itself, the government has taken this decision in respect of the players. The three women cricketers of Punjab – Harmanpreet Kaur, Harleen Deol and Amanjot Kaur will get the benefit of this reward.
Harmanpreet Kaur, resident of Moga, is already a DSP in Punjab Police, while Harleen and Amanjot do not have a job yet. On Saturday, both the players were given a grand welcome in Chandigarh by Cabinet Minister Harpal Cheema and MP Harmeet Singh Meet Hayer.

- Harmanpreet is already DSP: Harmanpreet Kaur, resident of Moga, is currently working as DSP in Punjab Police. She was given this post in recognition of the team’s excellent performance and runner-up finish in the 2017 Women’s World Cup during the Congress government of Captain Amarinder Singh.
- DSP appointed after 2017 World Cup: Earlier, Harmanpreet had applied for recruitment in Punjab Police in 2011, but could not be selected at that time. He was later appointed as DSP after the 2017 World Cup. Now discussions are going on regarding his promotion. At the same time, the other two players of the team, Harleen Deol and Amanjot Kaur do not have any government job at present.
