America’s Trump administration has issued new guidelines regarding visas. Under this, new rules have been issued for foreign citizens to get American visa and stay. The Trump administration has directed US embassies and consular officers abroad to thoroughly screen visa applicants to ensure they are not dependent on government assistance in the US.
In the new guidelines, applicants have been asked to evaluate many things like age, health, family situation, financial condition, education, skills and ability to speak English. In particular, people with medical conditions such as diabetes, obesity, high blood pressure, heart disease, mental health problems may be ineligible for a visa.

Officials should have complete information about the applicants.
Officials have also been asked to examine the bank documents, assets, investments and pension accounts of the applicants. Experts say that this step may reduce the chances of getting a visa and may also increase difficulties for family members living in America.

A State Department spokesperson said that American interests come first and the new guidelines will ensure that American taxpayers are not burdened. However, the impact of this guidance is largely left up to the interpretation of consular officers. In this case, experts have warned that this policy is risky and it can create fear and confusion in families living legally in America in seeking government assistance.
