The country’s capital Delhi was shaken by a massive explosion on Monday evening. At least 10 people were killed and 24 injured in a massive explosion in a car in a crowded area near Red Fort metro station. Many vehicles caught fire due to the blast.
Preliminary investigation is suspecting a terrorist attack. The explosion was so powerful that the body parts of the affected people fell far away. The glasses of vehicles parked nearby were also broken. The sound of the explosion was heard till ITO intersection, two and a half kilometers away. Meanwhile, America has offered help in investigating the blast.

Home Minister Amit Shah said that the blast took place in the I-20 train at Subhash Marg traffic signal near the Red Fort. Police Commissioner Satish Golcha said, the blast took place in a slow moving car at around 6:52 pm. According to initial investigation, three people were also traveling in the car.

The police have detained a suspect. Teams of NSG, NIA, FSL, Delhi Police, Intelligence Bureau are engaged in the investigation. Police have cordoned off the area. Ten fire tenders brought the fire under control by 7:30 pm. A fire department official said, six cars, two e-rickshaws and an autorickshaw were burnt to ashes in the fire. The injured have been admitted to LNJP Hospital.

The horror of the explosion seen in the video
The magnitude of the explosion is visible in the video shared by Chandni Chowk Traders Association. A dead body is lying on the vehicle. Eyewitnesses said, body parts of many dead bodies were scattered. Association President Sanjay Bhargava said that his entire building 800 meters away was shaken.

High alert across the country including Delhi, UP, Haryana, Mumbai
High alert has been declared in many states including Delhi-NCR, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Mumbai and Uttarakhand. Instructions have been given for intensive monitoring of railway stations, bus stands, airports and religious places across the country. The security of Ram temple in Ayodhya and the Sangh headquarters in Nagpur has been increased.
