Political controversy has erupted in Karnataka after an alleged video of some people offering Namaz at Terminal-2 of Kempegowda International Airport in Karnataka’s capital Bangalore went viral. Opposition party BJP has expressed strong objection to this incident and sought answers from the state government. In the viral video, some Muslims can be seen offering namaz in Terminal-2. During this time, security personnel standing nearby were shown watching this incident.

BJP’s Karnataka unit spokesperson Vijay Prasad asked Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Minister Priyank Kharge whether those offering namaz had taken any permission under the rules recently framed by the government to do so in a public place. Posting on ‘X’ late on Saturday night, he wrote, “How can this be allowed inside Terminal 2 of Bangalore International Airport? Do Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Minister Priyank Kharge agree on this?”
