Jio And BSNL Partnership: Reliance Jio has been strengthening its hold in India’s telecom sector for a long time and for this, there are news related to the company making new alliances in the local region also. Now a similar news has come and the name of the country’s oldest government company Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) is also associated with it. Reliance Jio has recently launched two new intra-circle roaming (ICR) recharge plans in Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh and for these the company has partnered with the government company BSNL already operating in the state.

Who will get network coverage through ICR plan?

According to the report of Telecom Talk, this will also give access to BSNL’s network to those remote Jio users of Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh where Jio’s coverage is limited. BSNL ICR service is available on select prepaid recharges offered by Jio. Jio has said that through this partnership, customers can connect to the BSNL network and use voice, data and SMS services at select locations in the same geographical circle.

How much will these ICR plans cost?

The price of the new plans is Rs 196 and Rs 396 and both the plans are plans with a validity of 28 days. In the Rs 196 plan, you will get 1000 minutes of voice calls and 1000 SMS with 2 GB data. Apart from this, in the higher priced plan of Rs 396, 10 GB data will be available, along with the benefit of 1000 minutes of voice calls and 1000 SMS.

What will be special in these plans?

According to Jio, both these plans are specially designed to be used on BSNL’s ICR network and are not allowed to be run under Jio network or any other network (like Airtel or Vi). Only those customers can use these plans who have activated ICR pack on BSNL network.

ICR Plan Activation and Coverage Details

As per the terms and conditions, these ICR recharges will work when the device is connected or linked to the BSNL network. These plans are currently available for Jio customers in Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh circles, with an aim to provide seamless connectivity in areas with limited Jio network availability. This move of Jio may surprise Airtel and Vi because at one time Airtel had dominance in providing network to remote areas but now its situation is not the same as before and some changes have taken place.
