Dabang Delhi won the second title in 4 years. The team became champion in 2022 by defeating Patna Pirates.
Dabang Delhi has won the title of the 12th season of Pro Kabaddi League (PKL). On Friday, Delhi defeated Puneri Paltan 31-28 in the final on home ground itself. Captain Ashu Malik could take only 2 points, but Ajinkya Pawar took 6 points and Neeraj Narwal took 9 points to lead the team to victory.
Delhi’s Iranian defender Fazal Atrachali received the Player of the Tournament award. He achieved 52 tackle points in the season. In the final, Aditya Shinde from Pune scored 10 raid points, but the team could not win.
Delhi was ahead in the first half Dabang Delhi maintained the lead from the first half at the Thyagaraj Indoor Stadium. The team was leading 20-14 after half time. The team all out Pune once and collected 13 points in the raid. Pune team could score only 7 points in the raid. However, the team also took 7 tackle points, while Delhi could only take 3 tackle points.
Delhi captain Ashu Malik could take only 2 points in the final.
Pune lost despite comeback in second half Dabang Delhi strengthened its defense in the second half. The team’s raiders were trying to score points in a do-or-die situation, while the defenders were forcing Pune’s raiders to score points on their own. Despite the defensive strategy, Delhi team was all out once.
Despite Pune’s attacking strategy, Delhi collected 11 points in the second half. Whereas Pune could not equalize even with 14 points. At full time the score remained 31-28 in Delhi’s favor and the team won the low-scoring final.
Pune captain Aslam Inamdar got only 1 point in the final.
Aditya Shinde left alone from Pune Aditya Shinde of Pune scored maximum 10 points in the match, but he did not get any support. Pankaj Mohit and Abinesh Nadarajan were the remaining two best players of the team, both took 4-4 points. Captain Aslam Inamdar remained as dull as the Delhi captain and could only score one point. Defender Gaurav Khatri took 3 points, no other player could take more than 2 points.
On the other hand, Delhi captain Ashu Malik could also take only 2 points. The pair of Neeraj Narwal and Ajinkya Pawar together collected 15 points. In defence, Saurabh Nandal, Anurag and Surjit Narwal took 2 points each. The team also got 4 extra points, this difference was enough for victory or defeat.
Delhi got Rs 3 crore Dabang Delhi became the champion of PKL for the second time. The team has also become champion in the 8th season. On the other hand, Season 10 champion Pune had to be content with becoming the runner-up this time. Delhi got prize money of Rs 3 crore and Pune Rs 1.80 crore.

Patna won the most titles Pro Kabaddi League started in 2015. Since then, Patna Pirates have won maximum 3 titles. After Jaipur, Delhi also now has 2 titles each. Haryana Steelers, Bengal Warriors, Bengaluru Bulls, U Mumba and Puneri Paltan have won the title 1 time each.
