Return the Asia Cup trophy in two days or else…, BCCI’s warning to Mohsin Naqvi; Shocking update came

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) hopes that Mohsin Naqvi will hand over the Asia Cup trophy to Team India within a day or two. BCCI Secretary Devjit Saikia has expressed disappointment that the Asia Cup trophy has not reached its rightful owner i.e. Team India. Saikia has confirmed that if the trophy does not come to the Indian team before November 4, then he will raise this issue in the ICC meeting on November 4.

According to news agency PTI, BCCI Secretary Devjit Saikia said, “Yes, we are disappointed that even after a month has passed, the trophy has not been handed over to us.” Saikia also told that as part of the entire process, the Indian Board had demanded from the Asian Cricket Council that the trophy should be given to Team India, but Mohsin Naqvi, refusing to give up his stubbornness, had refused to give the trophy.

After BCCI’s demand, Naqvi said that if the Indian team wants to take the trophy, it will have to come to the ACC office. The chairman of ACC and PCB even said that he is ready to organize a presentation ceremony in which he will personally give the trophy to Team India with his own hands.

If the trophy doesn’t come in a day or two…

Devjit Saikia said, “We are taking the matter forward. We wrote a letter to the ACC Chairman about 10 days ago, but he is not ready to accept it. The trophy is still with him, but we hope that the trophy will come to us in a day or two.”

Let us remind you that India had defeated Pakistan team thrice in Asia Cup 2025. In the final, Team India defeated Pakistan by 5 wickets and won the title of champion. However, he has not been able to get the trophy yet.
