Rishabh Pant is captaining India-A against South Africa-A.

The first unofficial Test is being played between the A teams of South Africa and India at the Center of Excellence Stadium in Bengaluru. Rishabh Pant is making a comeback from this match. At stumps on the first day, South Africa scored 299 runs losing 9 wickets.

Jordan Harman, Zubair Hamza and Rubin Harman scored fifties from the visiting team. Off-spinner Tanush Kotian took 4 wickets for India. The second day’s play will start at 9.30 am on Friday.

Pant was injured against England Rishabh Pant was injured while batting in the fourth match of the Test series against England in July this year. In the first innings, Chris Woakes’ ball hit Pant’s leg. After which he had to retire hurt. However, he returned to bat again and scored a fifty to take India beyond 350.

Pant was examined after batting. In this, a fracture was revealed in his leg, due to which he could not play the last Test of the series and the remaining matches of India. Dhruv Jurel did wicketkeeping in his place. Pant now returned from the unofficial test against South Africa after 3 months.

Jordan was out after scoring 71 runs and Hamza was out after scoring 66 runs. Captain Marx Ackerman could score only 18 runs and wicketkeeper Rivaldo Moonsamy could score only 5 runs.

Rubin Harman hits fifty Rubin Harman took over the innings in the middle order along with Tian Van Vuuren. Both of them took the team beyond 250. Rubin was out after scoring 54 runs and Tian was out after scoring 46 runs. Prenelan Subrayan was out after scoring 1 run and Lutho Sipamala was out after scoring 6 runs. With this the first day’s play also ended. Tshepo Moreki remained not out after scoring 4 runs.

Off-spinner Tanush Kotian took 4 wickets for 83 runs for India. Manav Suthar took 2 wickets for 62 runs. Khalil Ahmed, Gurnoor Brar and Anshul Kamboj got 1 wicket each. Ayush Badoni could not take any wicket.
