Home Minister Amit Shah held a press conference in Patna to commemorate the 150th birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. He said that October 31 is the 150th birth anniversary of Iron Man Sardar Patel. It is because of Sardar Patel that India could become united today. He has a huge contribution in building today’s India. Every year since 2014, PM Modi visits Kevariya Colony on 31st October, the birth anniversary of Sardar Patel. A grand parade takes place in front of the statue of Sardar Patel. Now the Home Ministry has decided that a grand parade will be organized every year on 31 October. This parade is to ensure the unity and integrity of the country. This parade is in honor of the police forces of all the states and the Central Para Military Force. This parade will be organized in front of his statue. He clearly said that on the lines of 26 January, a parade will now be organized every 31 October. This parade will give the message of unity and integrity.
‘Sardar foiled the plan to build Pakistan corridor’
This time Run for Unity was organized in all the states and union territories, districts, police stations, schools, colleges of the country. This time, Bharat Parv is being organized in Ekta Nagar to commemorate the 150th birth anniversary. It will run from November 1 to November 15. It will continue till the birth anniversary of Lord Birsa Munda (15 November). It will conclude with a grand program on 15th November. People from tribes across the country will participate in it. We all know that Sardar Patel is not a person but an ideology for the country. He played the role of a major fighter in the freedom movement. After the Satyagraha of 1928, Mahatma Gandhi gave him the title of Sardar. He united India by uniting 562 princely states of India. Today’s map of India is the gift of Sardar Patel. Wherever any problem arose, Sardar Patel solved it. And, the plan to build Pakistan Corridor was foiled.

Congress party left no stone unturned to forget Sardar Patel.
Amit Shah said that the tricolor was hoisted in Lakshadweep because of Sardar Patel. It is unfortunate that after the death of Sardar Patel, the Congress Party left no stone unturned to forget him. Even a great personality like Sardar was delayed by 41 years in getting Bharat Ratna. Neither any mausoleum was built for Sardar Patel nor any memorial was built for him. When Narendra Modi became the CM of Gujarat, he worked on building the Statue of Unity. It has now become famous all over the world. Iron from farmers was used to build the 182 meter high Statue of Unity. Today it has become a major tourist destination. 2.5 crore people from India and abroad came here. On October 31, PM Modi will salute the parade in Ekta Nagar. This year, five CRPF Shaurya Chakra winners and 16 BSF gallantry medal winners will also be included in the parade. The parade will be led by women police officers.
