Shreyas Iyer First Message From Sydney: Indian cricket team’s vice-captain Shreyas Iyer was badly injured in the third ODI match against Australia. Iyer was injured while taking the catch of Australian batsman Alex Carey, after which he was admitted to the hospital in Sydney itself. Now, five days after being admitted to the hospital, Shreyas Iyer has given information about his health by sharing a post on social media. Indian ODI team vice-captain Shreyas Iyer has shared a post for the first time after his injury. Iyer wrote in the post shared on social media that ‘I am currently recovering and am getting better than before. Shreyas Iyer’s treatment in Sydney
The third ODI match between India and Australia was played in Sydney. In this match the Indian team was bowling first. Australia had lost three wickets. Then, in search of the fourth wicket, Shreyas Iyer ran to catch the ball of Harshit Rana and while taking the catch, he fell on the field and this player got injured. When Iyer was admitted to the hospital in Sydney itself, it was revealed that Shreyas was injured below his left rib. Iyer was also having internal bleeding. According to BCCI Secretary Devjit Saikia, no surgery was done for this injury, rather the doctors treated the injury in a different way.
