Iyer wrote in the post shared on social media that ‘I am currently recovering and am getting better than before. Shreyas Iyer’s treatment in Sydney

The third ODI match between India and Australia was played in Sydney. In this match the Indian team was bowling first. Australia had lost three wickets. Then, in search of the fourth wicket, Shreyas Iyer ran to catch the ball of Harshit Rana and while taking the catch, he fell on the field and this player got injured. When Iyer was admitted to the hospital in Sydney itself, it was revealed that Shreyas was injured below his left rib. Iyer was also having internal bleeding. According to BCCI Secretary Devjit Saikia, no surgery was done for this injury, rather the doctors treated the injury in a different way.
