This legend’s sister became IPL cheerleader
Janine Kallis, sister of former South African cricketer Jacques Kallis, was a part of the cheerleader team of Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the IPL in 2009. At that time the second season of IPL was played outside India, in South Africa because general elections were going on in the country. The interesting thing was that in the same season Jacques Kallis was playing for the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) team.
When sister danced on brother’s wicket
CSK faced RCB in a match during IPL 2009. When Jacques Kallis was out during the match, Janine Kallis present in the field celebrated by dancing on her brother’s wicket with her group. Many people were surprised to learn that the cheerleader who was dancing happily was the sister of the player who had just been out!

Later, when Jacques Kallis was asked about this, he smiled and said, “It didn’t make any difference to me. Janine was honest in her work and I am proud of her. Now I will play a little more carefully in front of her, if she is the cheerleader of the opposing team.”
Now Janine has become a physiotherapist
After becoming a part of the glamor in IPL, Janine has now chosen a new path in life. She left cheerleading and made a career as a physiotherapist. Today Janine lives in London and is also the mother of a lovely daughter. She often shares pictures with her brother Jacques Kallis on social media and fans like their bonding very much.
