Pakistan Captain Shan Masood New Responsibility: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has entrusted a big responsibility to its Test team captain Shan Masood. Shan Masood has been made advisor on matters related to international cricket and players. This decision of the board has come after the test series played with South Africa. Pakistan had lost the last match of this series. In this series, Pakistan team played under the captaincy of Shan Masood and this series ended in a draw of 1-1. After this series, Pakistani Test captain Shan Masood has got a big position.

Will Shaan Masood play double role?

This decision of Pakistan Cricket Board has surprised everyone. This decision was announced by the board when the Pakistan-South Africa Test series was drawn at 1-1. According to reports, the players were informed about this when Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif invited the Pakistani team for dinner along with the South African players. No information has been given yet by PCB whether Shan Masood will handle this new responsibility while remaining the captain or Pakistan’s Test team will get a new captain.

Pakistan-South Africa Test Series

The test series between Pakistan and South Africa was drawn at 1-1. The first test between these two teams was played in Lahore, in which Pakistan won by 93 runs. The second match was played in Rawalpindi, which South Africa won by 8 wickets. Pakistani captain Shan Masood’s captaincy record in Test cricket is nothing special. Under the captaincy of Shan Masood, Pakistan has won only 4 out of 14 test matches played, whereas the Pakistani team has lost 10 test matches. Despite this shameful record of Shan Masood, PCB has given the responsibility of the post of advisor to its captain.
