New Zealand’s Matt Henry took a catch like Surya’s near the boundary line in the third ODI being played against Sri Lanka. The video of Henry’s catch was shared on social media through New Zealand Cricket Board i.e. BLACKCAPS. It can be seen in the video that Matt Henry, who was present on the boundary line, runs back after seeing the ball going towards the boundary line.
While running behind, Henry goes inside the boundary line, but before that he tosses the ball in the air and then comes back and takes the catch. Suryakumar Yadav had also done exactly the same. India’s victory was decided after Surya’s catch.
In the final, South Africa needed 16 runs to win in the last over. Africa team had lost 6 wickets. The last proper batsman for the team was David Miller at the crease. Hardik Pandya bowled a full toss on the first ball of the last over at Miller’s off stump, on which Miller swung the bat hard and the ball was about to go out of the boundary line when Surya took the catch. After this, Africa was left with no proper batsman and then India won the title easily.
