SDM Shubham Yadav has confirmed the death of 9 children. He said that the history of ‘Kapha Syrup’ has been found in six children, in which a ‘Diethylene Glocol’ chemical is being held responsible for death. In these children, the history of Coldrif (Coldrif) and one in one in Nextro-DS (Nextros DS) have been found. Currently, both syrup has been banned.

What is ‘Diathylene Glocol’
Dr. Pawan Nandurkar, Associate Professor HOD of Chhindwara Medical College, said that it has been found in research that there are cases of kidney damage in such a way that a chemical called ‘Diathylene Glacol’ while making ‘cold syrup’ or ‘cuff syrup’. Whether it was a chemical in these two phlegm syrup, the Coldrif and Nextro-DS banned, it will be known only after the investigation report is revealed. Currently, their sale has been banned.
Why the possibility of chemical in syrup?
Dr. Pawan Nandurkar said that there can be many reasons for kidney damage. Kidney damage can also occur due to water malfunction, metal having toxic substances, dehydration etc. Now because this phlegm syrup has been common in the cases that have come up so far. For this reason, ‘Diathylene Glocol’ is expected to have chemical disturbances in Coldrif and Nextro-DS.

According to Dr. Pawan Nandurkar, such cases have been reported earlier. Research was then found that ‘Ethylene Glycol’ and ‘Diethylene Glycol’ were responsible for the cases of kidney damage.

Samples have arrived, investigation is going on
Tina Yadav, Joint Director of Drugs Control in the Chhindwara Cuff Syrup case, says that all samples associated with it have come. They are under investigation. We will be able to reach any conclusion only after the investigation is completed. Before that, we are discussing preventive measures at senior levels to decide whether the decisions need to be taken. The report will arrive in a day or two. Preparations have been started to investigate the supply source, whether there is stock or not.

It is difficult to say deaths due to medicines, waiting for report
In the Chhindwara Kapha Syrup case, Madhya Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Rajendra Shukla has said that about 12 types of drug samples have been sent for testing. The results of three samples have been achieved. No such substance has been found in the report that shows that these drugs have led to deaths. However, the report of the remaining drugs is expected to come by this evening. 12 and a quarter year old girl dies
HOD Dr. Pawan Nandurkar told that nine children have died so far. Two more children have died in the last three days. A quarter of a year of evening Bhosom became ill on 17 September. He was brought to a private hospital in Parasia on 18 September. Then he was treated in a government hospital. After this, he was again admitted to Parasia’s private hospital on 26 September. He was later referred to Chhindwara from CHC Parasia. On September 28, Nagpur Medical College was referred from Chhindwara District Hospital. He died on October 1 in Nagpur. Apart from Sandhya, Chanchalesh Yaduvanshi of Gayagohan also died during treatment in Nagpur.

With the help of Asha worker, around 4658 children have been screened so far. Out of this, 4411 tests have been done, their report has come to normal. The condition of three of the hospitalized children is serious right now, they are being given dialysis. They are on ventilator.
