The Election Commission has started the final preparations for the announcement of Bihar assembly elections. On Tuesday, the Commission held an important meeting with Bihar officials. EC has taken the details of all the booths of 243 assembly seats in the meeting. During the meeting, the Commission has written in writing about the Central Security Force Number and their deployment.

In the meeting held on Tuesday, the report of the sensitive booth was also taken by the Commission, discussion was also held at the time of voting at the sensitive polling booth. It is expected that the Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) will visit Bihar on 4 and 5 October along with Dnyanesh Kumar, Election Commissioners Sukhbir Singh Sandhu and Vivek Joshi. During this time, the team of the Commission will review the administrative and security arrangements in the state, the deficiencies that have been left, have been instructed to fulfill it.

Elections can be held in three to four stages in Bihar

After the Bihar tour, the election schedule is expected to be announced in a few days through the Election Commission. Like last time, it is expected that this time also elections will be held in Bihar in three to four phases. However, this time there is also a challenge of festivals before the Commission, because along with the election season, there will be big festivals like Diwali and Chhath. The Commission is already taking precaution to protect voters from any kind of inconvenience.

There has also been a phased voting in the history of assembly elections in Bihar. Elections were held in three phases on 28 October, 3 November and 7 November in 2020. The results were declared on 10 November. In 2015, elections were held in five phases, while in 2010, voting was completed in six phases. In 2005, elections were held twice: elections were held in three phases in February and in three phases in October.
