Kheer Ganga caused damage in the market and surrounding areas there due to rising water levels several times. There the water comes down rapidly due to the reduced river catchment area and sharp shield. That is why the debris and water reached the Dharali market rapidly after the cloudburst on Tuesday, which did not give anyone a chance to recover.
