Another major revelation has been revealed in the sensational case of Dharmasthala collective burial. On the sixth day of the excavation campaign running on the banks of the Netravati river, the investigation team has found suspected human remains from number 11. According to police sources, during the excavation on site number 11 near the Netravati river, something was found which made the investigating officers alert. A senior official present on the spot said, “We are confirming this seizure. The situation will be clear only after forensic investigation. Only after this official information will be shared. ”Earlier the SIT had recovered male skeletons from site number 6.
Meanwhile, the matter was further complicated when the informer’s lawyer accused an SIT official of threatening. It has been claimed in the complaint that at the SIT camp in Belthangadi on the night of 1 August, officer Manjunath Gowda warned of arrest of the informer. The lawyer alleged that his client was forced to change the statement and withdraw the complaint in the video.
The SIT has given clarification on this charge. He says that the allegations are being investigated and an official statement will be issued soon. Earlier, the informer had claimed that the bodies of women and minors were forced to suppress the bodies of women and minors in the shrine between 1998 and 2014. Many bodies were also claimed to have sexual abuse marks.
Now a new witness has also surfaced in this case. On Saturday, a person named Jayant Tea appeared before the SIT in Belthangadi. He claimed that he had direct information about many illegal loaf made in Dharmasthal village. He said that he himself has seen the activities of secretly burial in many places. Based on his statement, the police can get help in finding other tomb sites.
The Karnataka government has formed an SIT for investigation in the last two decades after the serious allegations of mass murder, rape and illegal burial from the shrine. The initial complaint in this case was given by a former sweeper, who recorded a statement before the magistrate, claiming that from 1995 to 2014, he was forced to bury the bodies of women and minors.
