Starlink: Starlink Satellite Internet service operated by Alan Musk’s SpaceX company has reached close to launching in India. Although its official date has not been revealed yet, it is believed that it can start in the next few months. Recently, Union Minister Chandrashekhar has shared many important information related to the price, speed and connection related to Starlink.

How much will be the price of starlink internet?

The initial setup for Serlink’s service in India can be between about Rs 30,000 and Rs 35,000. After this lump sum cost, a recharge plan of Rs 3,000 to 4,200 will have to be given every month which will depend on the user’s location and data use. At this price, Starlink Seva will not be very popular in metro cities as there are already cheap and fast internet options available there. But in far-flung areas of India, where the network or broadband has not yet reached, Starlink Internet can bring a big digital revolution.

What will be speed and connection limit?

Starlink’s current service can give internet speed ranging from 25 Mbps to 225 Mbps and is usually expected to get an average speed of 220 Mbps. However, the government has not allowed Starlink to provide more than 20 lakh connections in India. Minister of State for Communications Parmeswari Chandrashekhar said that this has been done so that the current internet providers (eg Jio and Airtel) of the country are not harmed. Starlink will distribute its hardware with Indian companies, which will strengthen support and service at the local level.

Starlink will be faster in future

Starlink is not limited to current service. The company is working on a plan to launch its next generation satellites in 2026. This new technology will be able to give a capacity of up to 1000 GBPS from every satellite that will make the Internet speed many times faster.
