Vivek Agnihotri and Pallavi Joshi’s film ‘The Bengal Files’ has been engulfed in controversies before its release. FIRs have been lodged in the film’s makers Vivek Agnihotri, Pallavi Joshi and the film in West Bengal. This FIR has been lodged on him by Mamata Banerjee’s party TMC. Both are accused that their film ‘The Bengal files’ spreads communal hatred. It has also been said in the FIR that the teaser of the film may disturb the state’s peace and will spread tension among the people.

At present, no official statement has come from Vivek and Pallavi in this case.

The film will be released in India on 5 September.

‘The Bengal Files’ is the third film of Triology. Earlier this film was announced as ‘The Delhi Files-Bangal Chapter’ but recently Vivek changed its name to The Bengal. Vivek said that he has changed the name on the demand of the people.
