Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch several development projects worth about Rs 2,200 crore in his parliamentary constituency Varanasi on August 2. These projects are connected to many areas including infrastructure, education, healthcare, tourism, urban development and cultural heritage. Their aim is to improve the overall urban changes, cultural rejuvenation, better contact and quality of life in Varanasi.
Modi will inaugurate a railway overbridge in Hardatpur to widen and strengthen the Varanasi-Bhadohi and Chitouni-Tankeshwar roads and to reduce congestion on Mohan Sarai-Alapura Road.

To promote tourism, the Prime Minister will inaugurate the redevelopment of raw ghats on the banks of the 8 river, development works in Kalika Dham, beautification of ponds and ghats in Rangiladas Kutia, Shivpur and renovation of Durgakund and renovation and water refinement.
