Assent to bills: Tamil Nadu Govt Moves Supreme Court, Says Presidential Reference is ‘Appeal In Disguise’ – Amar Ujala Hindi News Live – Bill approval: Supreme Court reached Supreme Court, said

The Tamil Nadu government has moved the Supreme Court against the President’s Reference (Reference) regarding the deadline for approving the bills on behalf of the governors. The application filed in the apex court states that this reference given just one month after the verdict in the case of the Governor of Tamil Nadu is an attempt to turn the said decision.

In fact, President Draupadi Murmu has sent a Presidential Reference to the Supreme Court, asking whether the apex court can set a deadline to approve the state’s bills sent for the approval of the governors and the President? The state argues that the questions raised by the President in terms of Article 143 are directly to affect the decision in the Tamil Nadu Governor case.

The state said that this reference is nothing but a pseudo -appeal, which is unacceptable to law due to laws because the apex has no right to reverse its own decision under Article 143. In the Tamil Nadu Governor case, the apex court had set a deadline to the President and the Governor to take action on the bills. The state says that the apex court should refund it without any response to the President’s context.
