Akash Chaudhary, playing Ranji Trophy for Arunachal Pradesh, scored a stormy half-century in the match against Meghalaya. Coming to bat last, this batsman completed his half-century in 11 balls, in which he hit 8 sixes. With this, Akash Chaudhary’s name has been included in the record book of Indian domestic cricket.
Stormy half-century in 11 balls
Arunachal Pradesh player Akash Chaudhary came to bat after the fall of the sixth wicket. Akash played an unbeaten inning of 50 runs in 14 balls, but this batsman had completed his half-century in only 11 balls. Before Akash, the record of scoring the fastest half-century in first class cricket was in the name of Wayne White. This Irish player had scored a half-century in 12 balls in the year 2012.

This feat could not be achieved even in international cricket
Even in international cricket till date such a feat has not been done that any player has scored a half-century in 11 balls. Former Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh scored a half-century in 12 balls against England in 2007. The record of scoring the fastest fifty in ODI is in the name of South African player AB de Villiers and Caribbean player Matthew Ford. This player has scored a half-century in 16 balls in One Day International. But Akash Chaudhary has broken all records in first class cricket by scoring a half-century in just 11 balls.
