On the first day (Tuesday) of President Donald Trump taking office in the US, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has arrested 308 illegal immigrants. According to The New York Post, Border Security Officer Tom Homan has revealed this.
These arrests have taken place from every part of the country. Most of these illegal immigrants are criminals. Some of them are accused of kidnapping, murder and rape. Homan said Wednesday that immigration officials have begun arresting illegal immigrants who pose a threat to the country. Their population is more than 7 lakh.
According to the report of Bengali newspaper Prothom Alo, 4 Bangladeshi citizens were among those caught on the first day. He has been arrested from Brooklyn Borough Fulton area of New York.

Just days after winning the presidential election, Trump appointed former Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) chief Tom Homan as ‘Border Czar’. Homan announced last week that the day after Trump’s inauguration he would launch a massive nationwide search and arrest of undocumented immigrants.

The total number of immigrants living here by 2023 was 4.78 crore. Trump believes that people from other countries commit crimes by entering America illegally.
