National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval met with Chinese Vice President Han Zheng. The meeting took place at ‘Great Hall of the People’ in Beijing, where the 20th meeting of the Secretaries of the Security Council of Shanghai Cooperation (SCO) was being held. The Indian Embassy in China informed that Doval had come to meet Han Zheng along with the heads of delegations from other countries involved in the meeting.

In the SCO, Doval said, “Criminals, conspirators and those who financed the cross -border terrorism should be held accountable.” In the meeting, Doval also called for leaving double standards in the fight against terrorism. Regarding Operation Sindoor, the Indian Army military operations, which targeted terrorists in Pakistan, India’s action was napi-tuli and was not going to promote the struggle. He also called for sharing information to combat terrorism, separatism and extremism.
Earlier, Doval also met the SCO’s security council secretaries during the 20th meeting with Alexander Vanedktov, Deputy Secretary of the Russian Defense Council. The two countries discussed issues of mutual relations, regional and international importance. The Russian side stated that he is eager to welcome Doval as soon for the next round of strategic dialogue. Both sides emphasized to carry forward mutual cooperation on the basis of special strategic partnership between India and Russia.
Doval also meets China’s Foreign Minister Wang Yi
Doval also met Wang Yi, a member and Foreign Minister of the political bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China on Monday. During this time, Doval emphasized the need for strict action against every form and form of terrorism for regional peace and stability. According to a statement issued by India’s Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), both sides reviewed the recent development in India-China bilateral relations. Also emphasized the need to pursue mutual relationships. There was also a discussion on increasing the contact between the people so that the relations between the two countries could be strengthened. In the meeting, Doval clearly stated that no form of terrorism should be tolerated and it is necessary to take strict steps against it so that peace and stability can remain in the entire region.
